About Us



In September 2000, Canadian Forces Personnel Family Support Services (CFPFSS) deployed its first civilian staff to manage and deliver welfare programs for CF personnel serving as part of the NATO Stabilization Force (SFOR) in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Approximately 30 CFPFSS staff worked at six Canadian camps to deliver Rest and Recreation (R&R) programs, Home Leave Travel Assistance (HLTA) services, retail operations, mess operations, fitness, sports and recreation programs, barber services and other amenities.

In August 2003, CFPFSS deployed its first team of 40 employees to Operation ATHENA in Kabul, Afghanistan, and, following the camp closure, proceeded to Kandahar and Camp Mirage where more than 75 CFPFSS civilian personnel currently Serve Those Who Serve in Joint Task Force Afghanistan.

In April 2004, CFPFSS deployed 5 employees to support Operation HALO in Haiti.

Since March 2006, CFPFSS has deployed a team of employees to Cyprus twice per year to the Third Location Decompression (TLD) Centre, providing Morale and Welfare activities for CF personnel returning from Afghanistan.

Since August 2009, CFPFSS has deployed employees to both Iqaluit and Resolute Bay in support of OP Nanook in Canada’s North, a CF exercise to support our sovereignty in the North.

In January 2010, CFPFSS deployed 27 employees to manage and deliver welfare programs in support of OP Podium for CF personnel at the Vancouver Olympic Games.

In May 2011,  CFPFSS deployed its first employees in support of Operation ATTENTION in Kabul, Afghanistan.
