This agreement will begin upon CANEX acceptance of your Ambassador application and will end when terminated by either party. Becoming a CANEX Ambassador does not establish any legal or financial relationship with CANEX.

We reserve the right to terminate the CANEX Ambassador agreement at any time, with or without reason, by providing the other party written notice of termination. All ambassador agreements are signed for a 1 year term (1 April – 31 March). After a year, you must re-apply to the program. New ambassadors are subject to a 3 month probationary period. Successful completion of probationary period will result in an automatic enrollment into the program, until March 31st of that year.

By participating in the CANEX ambassador program you agree to grant CANEX and divisions of the Canadian Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) a royalty-free right and license to reproduce, publish, distribute, display, report, analyze, share and edit all Content created for or on behalf of CANEX in any and all media now known or developed in the future, including the right to create derivative works; which includes but is not limited to: Posting to social media platforms; Paid support of social media posts; Publishing to CANEX’s website and/or digital applications; Use in CANEX’s digital, email or text message communications; Use in online advertising within social media platforms; Use in general online advertising (i.e. search, websites, digital, etc.); Use in off-line advertising (i.e. print, display, store signage, broadcast, etc.); CANEX to share Content with other divisions of CFMWS as a form of feedback; and/or A combination with other content for any of the above uses.

By participating in the ambassador program, you understand and agree that no additional compensation (aside from the gifted products you received) will be provided if your Content is used in any formats mentioned above.

CANEX values the partnership with its Ambassadors and community partners. As a condition of your participation in the Ambassador Program, you must comply with all program guidelines and regulations. All CANEX ambassadors must represent CANEX and the Canadian Armed Forces community with professionalism and respectability. We encourage you to exercise sound judgement, embrace creativity and authenticity when circulating promotional content. Any content we deem as inappropriate can result in the termination of the program agreement.

We require high quality photography and videography with authentic captions. A photography guideline with do’s and don’ts as well as suggested captions with new products will be provided to you. Please reference this toolkit when creating and publishing content.

As a CANEX Ambassador, we require a minimum of three (3) posts per month, minimum 24 hours apart and unlimited stories. All posts must tag @CANEX.ca, the brand or vendor and use #CANEX and #CANAmbassador.

In the event that you are not able to fulfill your Ambassador duties for an extended period, (postings, deployments, exercises or personal reasons) you must notify us in advance. If you are inactive for more than two consecutive months while not attempting to contact us, we will presume that you are no longer interested in the Ambassador Program and our agreement will cease.

Prohibited Activity on creating or sharing posts associated with CANEX and CANEX products. As a condition to your acceptance and participation in the Ambassador Program, you agree that you will not undertake or engage in the following practices, and any violation of this Section shall be deemed a breach of this agreement and will result in immediate termination from the Ambassador Program agreement:

X-rated and promote sexually explicit materials
Promoting violence and/or drug use
Promoting discrimination based on race, sex, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age
Promoting illegal or questionable activities
Violating intellectual property rights
Language should reflect the tone of CANEX and appropriate language should be used
Not following any of the above terms will lead to immediate removal from the CANEX Ambassador Program
